The Jolly Green Thumb opened for business in March 1974 as a tropical
plant shop offering only interior plants. In 1975, service was expanded
to include interior plant maintenance for local businesses, and in 1979
fresh cut flowers were added.
Over the past thirty-plus years, the business has grown to handle all
facets of both floral, gift and interior plant maintenance businesses.
The retail shop is located in the heart of the medical district, downtown
Huntsville, at 400 Governors Drive. The Jolly Green Thumb is a full-
service florist capable of handling all of your floral needs. Our
experienced designers, trained to work with all types of flowers, use their
expertise to keep the 400 square foot walk-in cooler filled with cut
flowers and ready-made arrangements. They can design anything for any
occasion, from the smallest bud vase to large arrangements for
special events. Approximately 3,000 square feet of on-site greenhouse space
in maintained so gift-plants, ranging from small dish gardens to large trees,
are always in stock and looking lovely. With over 7,000 square feet of
retail shop we can provide you with the best service and selection for your
gift-giving needs.
We offer delivery to all of Madison county, including Redstone
Arsenal, for a nominal charge.
